OrthoKai With ALTY Physio Team

OrthoKai recently visited ALTY Orthopaedic Hospital as part of our collaboration with their Physio Team.

This partnership allows doctors to refer patients directly to a rehab team that works closely with us, ensuring patients receive high-quality, customized prosthetics and orthotics care in a more coordinated way.

On 2nd April, we set up a small booth inside the hospital.

Introducing OrthoKai to the doctors and therapist, share our solutions, and show how this collaboration can improve patient outcomes, not just in theory, but in real practice.

Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to connect with a number of Orthopaedic consultants, including Dato Badrul, Prof Ruslan, Dr Kow, Dr Lim and Dr Nik, along with the physiotherapy team who stopped by to explore the devices.

Our team presented a range of solutions, including customized scoliosis braces, AFOs, and specialty knee braces for osteoarthritis, areas that generated strong interest from both doctors and physiotherapists.

But beyond the devices, the session became much more meaningful when everything came together.

Led by our team, grounded in real experience

Our team took the lead in sharing our prosthetics and orthotics solutions, walking doctors and therapists through the design, function, and real-world application of each device.

Alongside that, Irene brought everything to life as she interacted with both doctors and patients, sharing her personal journey and demonstrating real-life function.

A real story behind the technology

As a quadrilateral amputee living with prosthetic limbs, Irene shared her personal journey — not as a presentation, but as lived experience.

She spoke with both doctors and patients, showing what daily life actually looks like beyond the clinic.

What stood out

Patients who saw Irene were deeply inspired. Many shared how much they admired her positive outlook and the way she carries herself with confidence and joy despite her condition.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Prosthetics is not just about the device itself, it’s about restoring confidence, independence, and dignity through the right combination of technology, expertise, and support.

This visit is just one step, but an important one, in building stronger collaborations and delivering care that is truly personalized and outcome-driven.
