What are custom insoles?
What are custom insoles?
Custom insoles, also known as custom foot orthotics, are specially designed inserts worn inside footwear. They are created following a professional assessment and can provide support, cushioning or pressure redistribution according to an individual’s needs.
Unlike standard off-the-shelf inserts, a custom insole can be shaped and adjusted based on your foot structure, walking pattern, symptoms, activities and footwear.
Key Benefits:
-
Redistribute pressure across the feet
-
Provide support where clinically required
-
Improve comfort during walking or standing
-
Accommodate sensitive or painful areas
-
Support more comfortable movement during work, sport and daily activities

Who needs custom insoles?
When May a Custom Insole Assessment Be Helpful?
A foot assessment may be helpful if you experience recurring discomfort, difficulty finding comfortable footwear or fatigue during walking and standing.
Custom insoles may be considered for people experiencing:
-
Heel, arch or forefoot discomfort
-
Flat feet or high arches
-
Plantar fasciitis or metatarsalgia
-
Uneven footwear wear
-
Foot fatigue after prolonged standing
-
Discomfort during work or sporting activities
-
Lower-limb discomfort that may be related to foot mechanics
These concerns do not automatically mean that you need custom insoles. Your CPO will assess the possible causes and recommend the most appropriate form of support.

Our Custom Insole Process
1. Foot and Movement Assessment
Your CPO begins by understanding your symptoms, medical history, daily activities and footwear. Your feet, posture and walking pattern are then assessed.
2. Foot Capture and Measurement
Depending on your needs, measurements may be taken using a foot impression, scanning system, pressure assessment or another suitable clinical method.
3. Clinical Design and Fabrication
Your CPO determines the appropriate contour, support, cushioning, thickness and materials. The insole is then shaped and finished according to the clinical design.
4. Fitting and Adjustment
The completed insoles are fitted inside your footwear. Comfort, fit and movement are checked, and adjustments are made where necessary.
5. Follow-Up Care
Your progress is reviewed after fitting. Further adjustments may be made as you adapt to the insoles or as your needs change.
